We are honoured to feature keynote speaker Dr. Susan Pinker for our first event. Dr. Pinker is a developmental psychologist, best-selling author of The Village Effect, and a columnist for The Wall Street Journal. She will share her newest research to help us explore the power of social connection and resilience, which are more important than ever in these challenging times. Kim Winchell, senior director of strategy and operations at United Way, will then discuss how your ongoing support has provided emergency services during the Covid-19 Pandemic.
The event will be moderated by Rudy Kerklaan, vice chairman of Connor, Clark & Lunn Private Capital. Rudy is a longstanding donor and volunteer to United Way British Columbia and is vice chair of the board of directors. He received the Joseph and Rosalie Segal Community Vision Award in 2015.

About the Pathfinders
The Pathfinders began in 1987 when Joe and Rosalie Segal invited a group of passionate community leaders into their home to discuss how to improve our community. Many of you have since joined the cause and have become part of the rich history of the Pathfinders.
This year we have adapted the Pathfinders event into a multi-part series to explore themes on developing healthy and inclusive communities.
