United Way BC Rural / Provincial Grant
With the ever-changing landscape of BC, we understand that there are regions that fall outside of a local United Way’s geographic reach. There are funds available to support these communities as well.
We are now accepting funding applications for the Emergency Community Support Fund (ECSF) to provide financial support to remote organizations adapting their services to support vulnerable British Columbians during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Eligible registered charities or qualified donees as defined in the Applicant Guide can apply by June 26, 2020. Allocations will be announced mid July.
Criteria
Individual organizations, or multi-agency collaborations, who are working to meet the needs of vulnerable people impacted by COVID-19 within a community not currently served by another United Way are welcome to apply.
Eligibility
- Registered charity or qualified donee.
- Located within the geographic boundary in British Columbia not currently served by a local United Way (most areas fall within the Interior and Northern Regions of BC)
Community Services
The ECSF will provide financial support for community services that:
- Address a pressing social inclusion or well-being need caused or worsened by COVID-19,
- Serve one or more vulnerable groups (defined in the Applicant Guide),
- Will be carried out with a reasonable budget before March 31st, 2021.
Prospective applicants are strongly encouraged to review both the Applicant Guide and FAQ for more information.
