Yuri Fulmer honoured at 2014 United Way Pathfinders Dinner

Yuri Fulmer has practically done it all. No matter what his volunteer role—from United Way loaned representative to Board Chair—he has always exemplified the kind of dedicated generosity that makes him a philanthropic leader in the community. Last night at the 2014 United Way Pathfinders Dinner held at the Four Seasons Vancouver, Fulmer was recognized for his leadership with the 2014 Joseph and Rosalie Segal United Way Community Vision Award. The award is presented to an individual or family for their commitment to the betterment of the community through leadership and support of United Way. Longstanding supporters of United Way, Joseph and Rosalie Segal established this annual award in 2011 to celebrate inspirational philanthropic leaders. “Without the commitment and generosity of leaders like Yuri, the Segals and our donors, United Way would not be able to make the same kind of impact in our communities. We are extremely grateful for their support in helping to move families from poverty to possibility, helping kids be all that they can be and building stronger communities,” commented Michael McKnight, President & CEO, United Way British Columbia. The Pathfinders Dinner recognizes and thanks donors who contribute $10,000 or more to United Way British Columbia. Special thanks go to community school principal and author David Starr and high-school student Body Geoffrey, guest speakers at the event. The Pathfinders Dinner was presented by PwC and the reception was sponsored by Odlum Brown Limited. Randene Neill, Global BC Anchor of News Hour Final, generously emceed the event.
