Diversity, inclusion, celebration, love – these are the elements that define the communities and neighbourhoods United Way is proud to support, and honoured to call home. They make our cities vibrant and beautiful. They provide strength to us all, no matter our age, gender, ethnicity, culture, religion, sexual orientation, or ability. They build great todays and better tomorrows. There is no space in our community for intolerance. There is no space for racism or xenophobia. We unequivocally condemn the actions of white supremacists in Charlottesville, Virginia and stand up to all forms of bigotry and divisiveness here in the Lower Mainland and around the world. Together, we will continue to champion inclusivity, multi-culturalism, reconciliation, and intersectionality. We will model compassion, kindness, and respect. We will build and grow safe places, and support and celebrate individual potential. Because, together, we are strong. And united, we are community.
