This Saturday, June 6th from 12-4 pm is the second annual UPS Plane Pull for United Way. This amazing team building fundraising event matches man against machine, all in an effort to raise funds for United Way programs. 18 teams of 15 people will play tug-of-war with a 127,900 pound jet and compete against each other to see who can pull the plane fastest down the tarmac at YVR. UPS is a long-time and strong supporter of United Way, each year raising more than $1 million for United Ways across Canada. By harnessing the strength of community, UPS has partnered with United Way to encourage friends and business partners to participate in this fun team building event. Participants are from across the Lower Mainland. Last year’s inaugural event in Vancouver raised over $16,000 in a few short weeks. This year, thanks to the extraordinary efforts of participants, the UPS Plane Pull for United Way has doubled its fundraising efforts and is well on its way to raising over $30,000 in funds. The event is open to the public and will host a variety of family-friendly activities to keep everyone entertained including a plane pull for kids, carnival games, a bouncy castle, a dunk tank, tours of the UPS plane, face painting, food for sale, and more! The all-ages event is free. Free parking is available on site. Learn more about the event here . Support a team here and help them reach their fundraising goal! When you donate to United Way, you help kids be all that they can be, build strong communities, and move families from poverty to possibility.
