Scotiabank to sponsor the 2015 United Way Community Spirit Awards

This year’s Scotiabank and United Way Community Spirit Awards will be amazing!  The event takes place on Wednesday, February 25 and recognizes and honours organizations, unions and individuals that have helped to strengthen our community over the past year.  Scotiabank returns as title sponsor of the event for the 14th consecutive year. “Making a positive difference in communities at a grassroots level is an important part of Scotiabank’s Bright Future program, and we’re proud partner with United Way as title sponsor of this event to celebrate our collective efforts,” says Winnie Leong, Senior Vice-President, BC & Yukon Region for Scotiabank. Scotiabank is part of an elite group of exceptional supporters known as United Way  Top Contributors raising more than $225,000 each to help United Way change lives for the better. This year’s event will feature entertainment and award presentations. Scotiabank will also present the Community School Initiative video, which showcases how, by working together, community-wide social change happens.
