Lending a hand changes everything

When people come together to lend a hand, it has the potential to change everything. This past week during National Volunteer Week, United Way donors and volunteers showed their true colours helping some of the many community agencies and programs funded by United Way across the Lower Mainland. All of the events were Vancouver Sun United Way Days of Caring. How did they help? United Way supporters, including employees from TD Bank, UBC, Export Development Canada and CIBC came together to help neighbours feel welcome and connected at a Sharing Cultures dinner in Richmond; helped give local kids a healthy start to their day at a school breakfast club in Richmond; and helped spruce up Kitsilano Neighbourhood House to ensure young children and seniors have a safe and friendly space to visit in their community. Our communities are stronger because of the support of loyal United Way volunteers and donors.  Thank you!   https://twitter.com/UBCUnitedWay/status/858043944462159875   https://twitter.com/marky_lin/status/860258416970809344   https://twitter.com/UWLM/status/856578543131574274   https://twitter.com/UBCUnitedWay/status/858033797283098631   https://twitter.com/UWLM/status/858116533054169094   https://twitter.com/AdamChu_TD/status/857635788342702080   https://twitter.com/sharingfarm/status/860947231959957504
