A tremendous display of spirit, agility and strength, with a twist of downright quirky is the only way to describe the epic battle that took place at the 2015 Vancouver Law Sector Dodgeball event earlier this fall. Over the past year, eight law firms from downtown Vancouver have partnered in an effort to raise money for United Way and support kids, families and seniors, in their community. These efforts included a spring Law Sector Spelling Bee and the more recent Law Sector Dodgeball challenge that took place on the courts rather than in the courts. Participating law firms are McCarthy Tétrault; Fasken Martineau; Dentons; Stikeman; Lawson Lundell; BLG; DLA Piper; and Blake Cassels. All funds raised will go to United Way to help children, families and seniors in the Lower Mainland. Vancouver White Spot, Longwood BrewPub and VanSports & Physiotherapy helped sponsor the dodgeball tourney.
