Today at the 2017 Community Partner Awards Lunch, United Way British Columbia celebrated another year of amazing things, recognizing its important, impactful and inspiring community partnerships in the cities and neighbourhoods we are honoured to call home.

The 2017 Bhayana Foundation and United Way Community Partner award winners.
Keynote speaker Alia Sunderji, SFU Lecturer and founder of Luv the Grub, spoke about grass roots economies, and specifically how social enterprise is changing the way we look at community, how we do business, and how we are helping others.
The event honoured the 2017 Bhayana Family Foundation Award winners. These awards are a partnership between The Bhayana Family Foundation and United Way British Columbia and recognize individuals who work at United Way-partner social service agencies.
“The Bhayana Family Foundation Awards celebrate the social architects who rebuild lives of people and communities,” said Raksha Manaktala Bhayana, CEO of the Bhayana Family Foundation. “The ideals, values and passion of these front-line workers are an inspiration to all of us. Congratulations to all!”
