Pacific Blue Cross presents 22nd Annual Labour Appreciation Night

Pacific Blue Cross presents 22nd Annual Labour Appreciation Night, Dec. 3 The 22nd Annual Labour Appreciation Night hosted by United Way British Columbia, the Vancouver and District Labour Council and the New Westminster and District Labour Council will take place on Thursday, December 3. The event, sponsored by Pacific Blue Cross, acknowledges the many contributions that Sisters and Brothers have made to the community. “We are proud to support United Way British Columbia in three ways: as a sponsor of this very special evening, year-round as part of the Campaign Cabinet, and during our annual United Way campaign each fall,” says Gerry Smith, Board of Directors Chair, Pacific Blue Cross. Pacific Blue Cross has a longstanding partnership with the Labour movement. Before the existence of universal health care, Pacific Blue Cross’ founding organizations administered group plans that covered the medical and dental costs of union members. Pacific Blue Cross has a mission to improve health and well-being in British Columbia. The not-for-profit organization is also the province’s leading benefits provider, serving approximately 1 in 3 British Columbians. This year, three deserving individuals will be honoured with a Community Service Award for their social activism. To purchase tickets to this year’s Labour Appreciation go to click here.
