Endowment Fund

Endowment Funds provide stable and dependable funding for United Way of Lower Mainland. While the capital remains intact in perpetuity, the interest is used to support the ongoing programs and services of United Way.

A charitable donation to the United Way British Columbia Endowment Fund ensures that dollars raised by United Way go where they are needed most. The principal from the Endowment Fund generates an annual income that we use to offset fundraising costs. Each year, hundreds of people contribute to the Fund. As of March 31, 2016, the fund was valued at $31.6 million. Check out our current financial statements for more information.

With an initial gift of $100,000 or more, you can also create a new endowment named for you, or in honor or in memory of a loved one. The interest is used for the purpose you choose. You can contribute to the endowment during your lifetime or through your bequests. Your endowed gift to the United Way British Columbia is an investment in our community’s future.
