This week, we bid farewell and thank our energetic and passionate group of 31 Campaign Associates. Every year, local companies, organizations and unions generously sponsor or loan individuals to help United Way raise millions of dollars to help those most in need.
Campaign Associates are essential to the on-going success of our organization. They help plan and execute nearly 450 workplace campaigns throughout the Lower Mainland and across the Fraser Valley. In so doing, they help raise thousands of dollars that move families from poverty to possibility, help kids be all they can be, and build strong communities for everyone.

This year’s class of Campaign Associates are joined by United Way staff at a thank-you lunch.
Campaign Associates come to United Way from diverse industry sectors and from different day jobs. The breadth and depth of their varied skill sets offset administrative and fundraising expenses. During their tenure with United Way, each sees firsthand how people’s lives are changed due to the generosity of others. For many, it is a life-changing experience.
“We’ve had the privilege of being trained by industry experts, we’ve networked with people in various fields and we’ve become specialists at event planning, relationship and project management,” says Brittany Wiesner of her experience. “The growth I’ve seen among my fellow Campaign Associates is amazing, for some of the co-op students this was their first job in the professional world and now they’re prepared for almost any job the future holds for them.”
Brittany was sponsored by BCAA. Other organizations and unions who sponsored or loaned an employee are:
